Jeffney Anderson claims Costa Rican LBS weekly honour

Experienced Former international Center Jeffney Anderson (208-C-83) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader ARBA and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 37-year old center had a double-double of 12 points and fourteen rebounds, while his team outclassed Asobasca (#7, 1-8) with 40-point margin 104-64. It allowed ARBA to jump to the first place in the Costa Rican LBS. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is already in a full swing and ARBA still have not lost a single game, getting all 9 victories. Anderson has many years of experience at ARBA, through which he has constantly improved. Southern University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Anderson is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 8.4rpg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 40-year old former international forward Yackie Acuna (190-F-80) of Perez Zeledon. Acuna impressed basketball fans with 32 points and 6 rebounds. Bad luck as Perez Zeledon was edged by slightly higher-ranked Alajuela (#5, 4-7) 85-82. Perez Zeledon managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. 6 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Perez Zeledon managed to get this year. Acuna is one of the most experienced players at Perez Zeledon and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.5ppg (#1). He also registered 5.3 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was former international guard Daniel Shedden (190-G-96) of second-ranked Escazu. Shedden scored 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds. He was a key player of Escazu, leading his team to a 112-54 easy win against #4 ranked Siquirres in a game of the week. Escazu is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 9-2 record is not that bad... Shedden has a great season in Costa Rica. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.1ppg (6th best), rebounds with 4.4rpg (6th best) and assists with 3.1apg (3rd best). He also has 3.4spg and FGP: 63.7%.
